Started with one
good jar of jam.
Jamjar exists because Birmingham deserved a dessert and drinks spot that didn't cut corners — no pre-made batter, no bottled juice, nothing sitting under a heat lamp.
Dessert shouldn't be an afterthought.
It started with a jar of homemade strawberry jam, a waffle iron, and a shop on Coventry Road that got busier than anyone expected — right from day one. People weren't just coming for sugar — they were coming back for the ones who actually cared about getting it right. That's the whole idea behind the name: keep it small, keep it honest, keep the jar full.
The short version.
Open as a shop, from day one
Jamjar didn't start as a stall and grow into a shop — it opened as a proper counter on Coventry Road from the very start, waffles made fresh in front of whoever was waiting.
Kunafa becomes the signature
Customers kept asking for something warmer, sweeter, a little more indulgent. The kunafa cup became the thing people actually came back for.
The juice bar arrives
Fresh juices, smoothies and mojitos were added as customers asked for them more and more — and as UK summers kept getting hotter. Not an add-on, but a proper second half of the menu.
Same jar, same standard
110+ items across 13 categories — made fresh, every time you order, not before.
Now, ready to go nationwide
Coventry Road was never meant to be the ceiling — just where the standard got set. We're ready to take Jamjar beyond Birmingham, city by city, without losing the thing that made the first jar work: nothing pre-made, nothing rushed, nothing served that we wouldn't eat ourselves. Consider this an open invitation — follow along, tell your mates, and join us on the journey.
Four rules we don't break.
Made to order
Nothing is pre-made and reheated. Your waffle goes in the iron after you order it, not before.
100% fresh juices & mojitos
Fresh-pressed juices, blended smoothies and non-alcoholic mojitos aren't a side menu here — they're squeezed and made fresh, every day.
We listen, and adapt
The juice bar wasn't part of the original plan — it's here because customers kept asking for it, and the summers kept getting hotter.
Small enough to care
One counter, one team, one standard — we'd rather stay small and get it right than scale and get it wrong.
Small team, big portions.
